Skylar was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme disease in December 2020 after experiencing undiagnosed symptoms for about 7 years. Through her personal health journey, she discovered her passion for nutrition and functional medicine, which influenced her recent career pivot from the world of engineering consulting to attending graduate school to pursue her M.S. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She currently lives in the beautiful state of Colorado where she enjoys spending ample time outdoors. Although her Lyme symptoms have disrupted her life at times, she still finds time for her favorite activities, such as running, hiking, biking, and baking allergy-friendly treats.
